I was watching the Philadelphia Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade (America’s oldest Turkey Day parade, apparently), only because I have neither a network TV antenna, nor cable to watch the Macy’s Parade.
In the five minutes I watched before turning on A Christmas Story, a pair of thespians appeared on screen to lip-sync their own version of You Oughta Know. Admittedly, I’ve never been a big Alanis Morisette fan – more of a Fiona Apple guy, because that’s the dichotomy /s – but this was mind-boggling. I don’t get it. Makes me feel old and strangely territorial, and neither feeling fully computes.
The shorter version is that this looks completely nauseating to me.
It’ll probably win a Tony.
