At a macroscopic scale, the muddled outcomes of the midterm election are relieving to me. Sure, I have my own policy preferences, but it’s okay that people aren’t screaming from the rooftops in bliss or agony this go-round. Maybe one day we’ll remember that government is not synonymous with politics, nor is it team sports.
